Named for the fleeting burst of wildflowers that blossom in the California desert after a generous rainy season, Superbloom is our celebration of transition —between seasons, between styles. Now in its eighth vintage, this wine continues to resist easy definition.

To make Superbloom, we always co-ferment red and white grapes and keep it completely natural without any additions in the cellar. This time around, we deliberately let a bit more color into the blend by leaning more deeply into our love of early-picked Grenache Noir. The result? A fresh and vibrant wine with the presence and texture of a very pale red.

79% Grenache Noir | 13% Carignan | 6% Chenin Blanc | 2% Vermentino

The fruit is sourced from a mix of vineyards across Lodi and Mendocino, including Silvaspoons Vineyard, Sterling Ranch / Norgard Farms, and the historic Gary Venturi Vineyard. These sites are farmed using organic and regenerative practices.

The wine opens with a striking aromatic profile, where notes of salted watermelon, rhubarb, and white cherry emerge with clarity and lift. On the palate, those bright, saline-tinged flavors are layered with red fruit, subtle spice, and a gently textured mouthfeel. The finish is clean and mineral, leaving a sense of freshness that invites another sip.

Superbloom is crafted through a series of co-ferments, each handled with a slightly different approach. Some lots undergo carbonic fermentation, while others are made using a method described as “reverse saignée,” combining crushed grapes with pressed juice to enhance freshness, stability, and clarity. These varied techniques contribute layers of vibrancy and texture to the final wine.

After fermentation, the individual lots are assembled and aged together in tank. Both primary and malolactic fermentations occur naturally, and the wine is made without any additions or adjustments in the cellar. Bottled with zero added sulfur and left unfined and unfiltered, it remains a pure expression of both vineyard and vintage.
